Navigating Cleaner with CleanMajors
distilling information to make better choices…focusing on clean
Hi! It’s Julie. I’ve started this newsletter to help navigate the murky waters of green washing and clean living. Same platform but different topic from the recipe heavy FoodMajors that goes out twice a month.

Likely we’ve had a conversation about removing toxins from beauty products or maybe you’ve purchased Beautycounter in the last 5 years. Read here why it closed.
I value your time and promise not to fill your inbox with unnecessary messages. Previously I sent emails from my gmail but maybe you don’t want to hear from me. Using this platform enables you to unsubscribe easily. (Scroll to the bottom and hit unsubscribe, no offense taken.)
How is the United States one of the unhealthiest nations despite access to modern healthcare?
Why is cancer and hormone disruption on the rise? (hyper/hypo thyroid, diabetes, infertility, obesity, etc.)
In a world of marketing and green washing, which claims do we believe?
Could it be from regular exposure to thousands of toxic unregulated chemicals?
As a learner and teacher, I hope to distill information and help others make better choices…focusing on clean, taking one baby step at a time.
Perfection isn’t the goal. Cleaner is.
My last name is Majors and the name of this newsletter is a play on that: CleanMajors.
Join as we focus on clean!
Julie
PS - It’s impossible to remember all the offending chemicals surrounding us. When reading labels for beauty products and household cleaning products four offenders I look to avoid:
Parabens (methyl-, isobutyl-, propyl-, and others)
Phthalates
Sodium lauryl sulfate SLS, also sodium laureth sulfate SLES
Fragrance
Try to add these four to your memory!
